The Mirador del Llano de Las Ventas is an impressive astronomical observation point located in the municipality of Breña Baja, at an altitude of 1,320 meters above sea level. This viewpoint offers a spectacular panoramic view of the eastern coast of La Palma, and on clear days, visitors can even see the islands of La Gomera and El Hierro.

Access and Location
The viewpoint can be reached via two main routes:
From Santa Cruz de La Palma:
Take the LP-3 road.
After the La Cumbre tunnel, take the left turn.
Follow the LP-301 road for about 6 kilometers.
From San Pedro:
Take the LP-202 road towards Mazo.
Take the turnoff to the LP-301.
Continue to the viewpoint.

Astronomical Features
The viewpoint is strategically located in a privileged area. Surrounded by fayal-brezal vegetation, it sits above 1,300 meters, making it an ideal spot for stargazing. The trade winds create a unique condition, keeping the clouds just below the viewpoint, ensuring perfect nights for observing the stars.

Recommendations
Bring warm clothing (temperatures can drop significantly).
Bring binoculars or a telescope.
Check weather conditions before your visit.

It is especially recommended for those staying in Santa Cruz de La Palma or Los Cancajos, as access is relatively simple and quick.
