La Zarza: Archaeology and Jurassic Nature
La Zarza in Garafía is a hidden treasure in the north of La Palma, where nature and history intertwine in a unique spectacle.
This Cultural Park hosts one of the most important archaeological sites in the Canary Islands, with 29 panels of rock carvings in La Zarza and 18 in La Zarcita, dating back to the precolonial era. These petroglyphs, with their fascinating spirals, circles, and meanders, are silent witnesses to aboriginal rites related to fertility and water.
